A workshop to address the destructive cycles of both the love addict and the love avoidant. Participants will learn to practice self-love and self-care as you learn to find intimacy with healthy boundaries. 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Participants will:

  1. Develop an understanding of the love addiction/love avoidant setup from family of origin trauma.
  2. Identify at least three elements of the love addiction/love avoidant cycle.
  3. Gain an understanding of “The Dance” between the love addict and love avoidant.
  4. Identify two fears of love addicts and two fears of love avoidants and how they manifest in the relationship.

Includes lunch and 1 free CEU.

About the Facilitator:
Charmaine D. Kemp, LCSW-S, M.Ed., CSAT, CMAT

Charmaine is a seasoned licensed therapist with over a decade of experience in the field of mental and behavioral health. She has worked in inpatient and outpatient settings with substance use disorders and process addictions. Charmaine’s expertise extends to working with individuals grappling with trauma, attachment disorders, sexuality, and relationship challenges. With specialized training as a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist, she has a comprehensive background in addressing issues related to sex and love addiction.

Currently on a path of academic enrichment, Charmaine is pursuing a doctoral degree in the field of Human Sexuality. This unique combination of clinical proficiency and academic pursuit allows her to integrate her passion for teaching with clinical therapy. Charmaine is a compassionate professional dedicated to making a positive impact on mental well-being and fostering healthier, more fulfilling lives.
